This memorial blog was created in the memory of our loved one and friend, David J. Smith who was born on December 30, 1976 and passed away on August 4, 2008 at the age of 31. My heart felt sympathies to Jeff's family and loved ones. He will be missed. I hope that I and my union brothers can rally behind this family and remember them in our prayers. I hope it reminds us that it can happen to us and that we need to be more aware.
Thank you for all the Union members that came out to Jeff's viewings and to attend the funeral services. It meant a lot for the family. We do apologize that a guest book was not available at the chapel but had forgotten there were two intrances and therefore had ot been prepared. We also apologise that the Monday morning viewing was turned into a family viewing only and had not remained public like we had promised. We had many more family members fly in on Sunday that needed the private viewing. If any of the brothers attended and did not get a chance to sign Jeff's guest book please write, call or e-mail us.
